Rehearsal Dinner

Our RD is at Bravo.

Ceremony Site

We'll be getting married in my childhood church.  It's going to be all done up for Christmas, so hopefully we can get some good shots by the big Christmas tree.  Also I definitely want some in front of the doors outside of the church.  Very charming and traditional looking.  The 4pm ceremony will be by candlelight and will probably be about an hour long because we're going to do communion, too.

Reception Site

We're having our reception at the Millennium Hotel Buffalo.  The daughter of a friend of my mother's got married there a couple years ago and we heard really good reviews of it.  The packages are amazing - they all include a cake from a delicious local bakery (Butterwood), hand passed hors d'oeuvres, and some great dinner choices.  We'll be doing a sit down meal because it's more formal than a buffet and we're going for a formal theme.  This is a picture of the ballroom we'll be in, but we'll have chair covers.

Update: I finalized the menu.  In addition to a station of cold hors d'oeuvres (your standard cheese, veggies, etc) we will have two butler hand passed hot hors d'oeuvres - bacon wrapped scallops and chicken quesadillas.  After the cocktail hour the sit down meal will start with Italian Wedding Soup followed by a Caesar Salad.  Then we will have a fruit sorbet intermezzo.  Guests will choose between three entrees - Filet Mignon, Chicken Wellington, or Swordfish with Pico de Gallo.  Sides are glazed carrots and red smashed potatoes.  There will also be a vegetarian option, pasta with pesto sauce, and a children's entree, chicken fingers and fries.  Dessert will be our wedding cake - chocolate cake with a chocolate mousse filling with white buttercream icing.  YUM, I can't wait.
